Superstars running scared?

EVERYTHING SEEMS unpredictable these days. Big films with superstars flop and low-budget flicks with average stars or debutantes shine through. Naturally, this trend is causing a lot of concern especially to the two big Malayalam superstars. Mohanlal, who has been facing a bad patch, was planning to shoot his `make-or-break' film "Thandavam" in Tenkasi. But his astrologer and friends are supposed to have told him that it is an unlucky place for him. He then shifted the shooting locale to Pollachi... but the film bombed.

Now, for his next `do-or-die' film "Mr Brahmachari", the superstar is believed to have fixed on Tenkasi again... hoping his luck will turn. The actor is also said to be desperately trying to change his `action image', which has become a drag. He is starring in a Priyadarshan film with Richa Pallod, titled "Kilichundan Mambazham" which may do the trick.

The other superstar Mammootty is teaming up with old friends for a hit. He's doing a film with Lal-Jose (the duo who made the Dilip-starrer "Meesa Madhavan") who had earlier directed him in "Maravathoor Kanavu", which was a money-spinner.

With newcomers warming every heart, maybe the superstars are getting cold feet?
