For a home within the house

IF YOU have a hefty budget and would like to spend it on a room then Hogar home store might just be the place for you. Everything from curtains, upholstery, crockery, bed wear and towels can be arranged if you want your bedroom or even the drawing room to be designed.

Hogar home store, situated opposite Okhla vegetable market in South Delhi, has the ability to meta-morphose empty spaces into vibrant homes. A battery of interior decorators are there to give guidance. If you have a budget of Rs. 50,000 then take a dekko at this shop. If you want to buy a few items for your living room then also it fits the bill.

This is the brainchild of Anil Kapoor, who has come from South America. He says, "You can let your imagination run wild but don't let it drag you all over town. Hogar is the one stop shop to your imagination to reality and your house into a home. Hogar was established way back in the `70s in Latin America and brought under one room the best of décor from across the world. People may live in different parts of the world but respond in the same manner when it comes to deciding purchasing paraphernalia for their homes."

Sumane Singh, who has not only done interior designing but is also one of the proprietors, says, "We have conceptualised the whole thing keeping in view the people's needs. We haven't priced our products for those who can afford anything but the middle-class who want to have a good lifestyle." The lady is a known designer and has the label' A's Woman' at Ambavatta.

She has designed clothes for Tina Ambani nee Munim, Neha Dhupia and recently for the fashion show at the Australian High Commission. Now she has started designing for homes.
