Enter the toonworld

THERE IS no doubt that cartoons are close to a child's heart. Who can forget the cunning mouse, Jerry, getting a determined-to-eat-up-the-mouse Tom into trouble every minute of the day!

The cat-and-mouse game is so thrilling to watch that even adults are glued to the television, most of the times. Who does not enjoy the sweet little canary, Tweety, troubled by and in turn troubling a `great tomcat' called Sylvester. Or the carrot-loving Bugs Bunny and the always-in-trouble Road Runner.

Micky Mouse and Donald duck, or Daffy Duck, Uncle Scruz and his smart nephews - each character is adorable.

Cashing in on this , Personality Ltd., creators of Weekender for Youth and Weekender for Kids brands, in association with Warner Bros Consumer Products launched their new range of apparel with cartoon characters.

Targeted at boys and girls in the age group of four to ten years of age, the merchandise consists of apparel and accessories featuring world-renowned toon characters such as Tom and Jerry, Sylvester and Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.

The company is planning to extend the merchandise to include other popular toons like Road Runner, Taz and Marvin.

The Tom and Jerry merchandise comprises `Cat & Mouse' apparel, `Fast Friend' accessories, Unisex sweatshirts, T&J sweater, socks, caps, inner wear.

The Bugs Bunny series has Bugs Mania T-shirts for girls and boys, inner wear for boys, bags and caps.

The Tweety & Sylvester collection is more focused on party wear, where different moods of Tweety are portrayed with numerous embellishments and embroidery.

For girls, this merchandise consists of unusual and attractive colours such as crystal pink, aqua blue and cyber yellow among others.

Available at Toonworld corners in all Weekender kids stores and Shoppers' Stop in the city, the apparel and accessories are priced at Rs. 245 to Rs. 745.
