The friends formula

THE YOUNG friends formula seems to have caught on with Dil Chahta Hai and Filhaal. Music channel MTV has ventured into films with Bas Yun Hi produced by Bandra West Productions, a romantic comedy about a group of young friends and ten days in their lives. The film stars Nandita Das, Purab Kohli and Rajeev Gopalakrishnan and is slated for release in October. The film has been directed by ad-filmmaker Raja Menon. Meanwhile, MTV has also been bitten by the reality show bug with its launch of The Osbournes, the real life drama of America's favourite rock-n-roll family on Saturdays at 11 p.m.
