STAR back on game track

THE CROREPATI echoes are still ringing the sound bucks in STAR's ears. The channel is now all set to bring back the crorepati game show a new avatar sometimes around Diwali. This time the channel also plans to export the show to other parts of the world. A spate of game-cumreality- cum-talent hunt shows through the year will give additional momentum to the new-look KBC which will continue to have Amitabh Bachchan as the host and Siddharth Basu as the producer. The channel is tightlipped about the prize money amount. Sameer Nair, STAR India chief operating officer said, "An international company is working on the format the show." STAR will also a Hindi adaptation of `Pop Idol', which has been a hit in the USA. `Pop Idol' has elements of general entertainment; reality shows and talent hunt shows. A Hindi remakeof `Risky Business', a show that impressed Sameer Nair when he was in Cannes recently, is being considered well.
