ETHEREAL IS the thought that comes to mind when one gets a whiff of the heady scents that are on offer for the spring-summer in the twin cities. `Hugo Dark Blue', the fresh and spicy fragrance for men, is a popular buy at Lifestyle. `Hugo Deep Red', a fruity and floral perfume laced with jasmine and soft and fresh `Hugo Boss', are for women.
After the fresh and woody `Edition', Dunhil has `Desire' for men for the season - a refreshing fragrance with a musk note which is popular at the store. The deos and after shaves are also available in Dunhil and Hugo.
Reinforcing the summer tone, Gucci's `Rush' for men is a pleasant amber and musk fragrance, while `Rush 2' for women is the season's floral and fruity note. Paco Rabanne too has fresh floral scents for this season. With the fresh and woody Xs still doing good, Paco Rabbane's latest offering `Ultra Violet' brings out the feminine side with a lavender fragrance for the middle note, while the spicy vibrant top note and a soft oriental sensual amber note make it a good buy. The `Ultra Violet' for men is summerish too, suitable for regular wear with its fresh and mild fragrance. The brilliant violet package and attractive dispenser makes it ideal for gifting.
Pricing and packaging have been elementary for the success of perfumes. There is a good market for branded perfumes in Hyderabad, says Malati, Customer Care Associate and representative in the twin cities for the Bombay-based importer MKP Enterprise Pvt Ltd. The perfumes are bottled in 100ml, 50ml and 30 ml and priced at Rs. 1000 upwards. While Hugo is available at Lifestyle, the other fragrances can be checked at the perfumes counter at Shoppers Stop.
