Treat for music lovers

THERE'S GOING to be yet another treat for music lovers. Rotary Coimbatore Manchester has drawn up plans for "Nenjam Marappathillai'', a "melodious musical evening'' with S. Janaki, the "Nightingale of the Silver Screen''.

They've planned the programme at the PSG Hospital auditorium at Peelamedu, at 6 p.m. on February 10.

Rotary Manchester is also going to confer the "Vocational Excellence Award'' on P. B. Sreenivos, music director and veteran cine playback singer, for his "Fifty years of dedication to music''.

It's going to be an event for a social cause as well: construction of toilets in girls' schools.
