US dollar down gold up in European morning trading
LONDON (AP): The U.S. dollar was lower against other major currencies in European trading on Thursday morning. Gold rose.
The euro traded at US$1.4772, up from US$1.4712 late Wednesday in New York.

The British pound was quoted at US$1.8373, up from $1.8332.
