Thiruvananthapuram (PTI): The CPI in Kerala on Thursday refuted reports that CPI ministers in the LDF cabinet protested against the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) policy of the government at the cabinet meeting yesterday.

The reports that CPI ministers protested against SEZ during cabinet meeting was baseless, State Civil Supplies Minister and CPI parlimentary party leader C Divakaran said in a statement here today.

A committee headed by Chief secretary has been entrusted with the task of preparing a report on the ways to implement SEZ policy in the state, he said. No discussion on the report of the committee had taken place, he added.
