  • Tata workers not allowed to exit

    Singur (PTI): More than 200 construction workers and engineers of Tata Motors car project here were stranded inside the plant as their exit route was blocked by activists of anti-farmland acquisition group led by a social activist.

    Tata officials said the activists of Paschimbanga Khet Majur Samity (PKMS) led by social activist Anuradha Talwar. blocked the route and three vehicles carrying them were not allowed to leave the plant site.

    Talwar said the blockade would continue till the return of 400 acres of land taken from "unwilling" farmers for the project.
