The new ‘Kurbani’ team

It’s been a while since Fardeen Khan and his father Feroz Khan have been talking about plans to remake yesteryear hit Qurbani. Finally, here are the details. The remake, which will be titled Kurbani, will be directed by Sanjay Gupta. Now, only Fardeen is confirmed. Mallika Sherawat might play Zeenat Aman’s role and the team plans to retain some of Qurbani’s original music by Kalyanji-Anandji and Biddu, including Aap Jaisa Koi.

Bajpai returns with a new look

Organising fashion shows with the stars of a forthcoming movie is a sure shot way to get the film noticed. Following the trend, the team of Acid Factory took to the ramps. Among Fardeen Khan, Irrfan Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Danny Dengzongpa and Dia Mirza, it was Manoj Bajpai who caught the attention of Amitabh Bachchan. Bachchan was in praise of Bajpai’s new look, which was sophisticated yet sombre.

Rahul Bose’s rugby run

Rahul Bose has decided to quit from the Indian rugby team. Playing for an international tournament normally requires about six weeks, which the actor finds it tough to take out during his shooting schedules. The youngest player in the team is 18 and Bose feels these are signs for him to give way to youngsters. There are injuries as well. Bose has suffered two major arthroscopies, six broken fingers and broke his nose thrice!

SRK recommends Maddy

Remember the Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla starrer Yes Boss, directed by Aziz Mirza? More than a decade later, the film is to be remade in Tamil. When the rights of this film were sold to a Tamil producer, Shah Rukh Khan strongly recommended that Madhavan would be apt to do his role. Playing the negative role of Aditya Panscholi is Abbas and Mamata Mohandas plays Juhi Chawla’s role.
