Usha ties the knot

Come June 12 and popular singer Usha will tie the knot withDevarakonda Srikant, a business analyst in Pricewater House Coopers in the U.S.It is a love as well as arranged marriage for them. Usha is most likely to continue playback singing even after marriage. She became popular after participating in Paaduta Teeyaga... a popular programme on a private Telugu television channeland won many awards since. Her private album Ushaarugaa... was a chart buster as well.

Wedding bells for Shriya

Rumour mills are rife with the news of Shriya's marriage with long-time friend Rajiv Mallu. The couple were seen together often, more so when Shriya is not shooting. Her recent film Subash Chandra Bose proved a failure at the B.O. Presently, she is doing Mogudu, Pellam, O Dongodudirected by Venky opposite Raja of Anand fame, and Chatrapati, directed by Raja, with Prabhas.

Veeru to direct

Noted writer Veeru Potla of Varsham and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantaanaa fame is planning to wield the megaphone shortly. He is planning to direct a small-budget movie to be produced by Lagadapati Sridhar of Larsco Entertainments. Sridhar also producedEvadigola Vadide that completed 125 days recently, and is currently makingStyle directed by Lawrence and with Prabhudeva playing the hero.

The film by Veeru Potla will have newcomers and the script is being readied for the film. The USP of the flick is that it will have four heroes. After this project, he will wield the megaphone again for another film to be produced bymentor M.S. Raju. Incidentally, Veeru Potla is providing the story for M.S. Raju's next venture Pournami in which Prabhas and Trisha pair up once again.

Nitin as `Allari Bullodu'


The latest Nitin-Trisha's film, being directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, is likely to be named as Allari Bullodu. Allari is now the flavour of the season with so many films with the name in the title hitting the jackpot like Allari Priyudu, Allari, Allari Alludu, Allari Mogudu and Allari Ramudu.Produced by Anil Kumar, the film's shooting is going on at a feverish pace in and around Hyderabad. This is the debut film for Trisha under Raghavendra Rao's direction. And, for the first time, she will take a break from traditional outfits and be seen in jeans and T-shirts.

Siddik directs Ravi Teja


Siddik, who directed the original blockbusters of Telugu remake films like Hitler and Peddarikam, is all set to direct a Telugu flick soon. Produced by B. Srinivasa Raju on the banner of Sri Srichitra, the film will have Ravi Teja in the lead. The shooting is likely to commence on August 15.

`Oka Voorilo' set for release


Tarun's forthcoming flick Oka Voorilo (Modalaina Prema Katha) will hit the screen on June 22. Produced by Chanti Addala on the banner of Friendly Movies, the film has Saloni playing female lead while Raja and Veda appear in special roles. . Ramesh Varma makes his debut as director with this film. Cinematography by Arjun Jana would be a highlight of the film. Popular music director Devisri Prasad lends melodious tunes to the songs. The audio of the film will be released by Aditya Music this week.
