Jithan's hero

WITH GREAT HOPE: Jithan

Another hero from the production house of Supergood is here. Ramesh, the elder brother of actor Jeeva, who made his debut in Telugu with the film, `Vidyarti,' enters the Tamil scene with `Jithan,' that opened yesterday. "I'm both thrilled and tense," smiles Ramesh. "The film has come out well ... my character is very different. I'm sure children will like `Jithan,' as much as youth will," he adds. This Vincent Selva directed venture has Ramesh paired with Pooja. Srikanth Deva scores the music. Said to be an action packed flick, `Jithan' has Sarath Kumar making a cameo appearance as a police officer.

All set for release

"The promos and hoardings have created quite an expectation for `Arindhum Ariyamalum,'" says the PR person. `Kurumbu', director Vishnuvardhan's first film, did not do much for him. We'll soon know whether `Arindhum ... ' will be different. Vishnuvardhan belongs to the family of the master comedian of yesteryear, N. S. Krishnan.

`Punnagai Poo' Geetha, a radio jockey and TV personality in Malaysia, is the producer. Arya who ought to have made his debut with `Ullam Kaetkumae More,' Navdeep, the hero of `Jairam,' and Prakashraj play the main characters. Samiksha is the heroine. Samiksha is a model whose first film, `143' was in Telugu.
