All the way from Malaysia



"Arindhum Ariyamalum"

GEETHA, A popular television personality in Malaysia, has come down to Chennai to produce the Tamil film, "Arindhum Ariyaamalum," under the banner SG Films.

She is keen on providing fare of good standard for Tamil audiences.

Ramgopal Varma's assistant Vishnuvardhan who made his debut as director in Tamil with "Kurumbu," helms "Arindhum ... " another romantic film.

Slated for a Tamil New Year release, the film has two heroes — Navdeep (the hero of "Jai Ram") and Arya (the young man was one of the heroes of "Ullam Kaetkumae," which never got released). The Telugu film,"1 2 4," with Nagarjuna in the lead, had Samyuksha as the heroine. Now the actor plays the female lead in "Arindhum ... "

Actually, the first choice was Sandhya, heroine of Shankar's production, "Kadhal."

As director Balaji Shaktivel did not want the actor to accept any other film till the release of "Kadhal," the opportunity fell on Samyuksha's lap, a unit hand informs.
