After "Sullaan"...

SHOOTING IS going on at a hectic pace for Dhanush's "Devadhaiyai Kandaen." It will be the hero's next release after "Sullaan." Dhanush never takes on roles that show him as rich, suave or sophisticated. He has always played the boy from a poor or middle class family. In "Devadhaiyai ... " too he will be seen as a tea vendor who dreams of marrying a beautiful girl. The film has been in the making for quite a while. Before you conclude that the cause of delay could be Dhanush, a unit hand assures you that it is Roja Combines, the producers, who had postponed shooting for various reasons. Sridevi, who has not met with much success so far, is the heroine. "Devadhaiyai ... " may change things for her. In "Devadhaiyai ... " dialogue writer Bhoopathy Pandian graduates to direction.

"Kamaraj" in Hindi

Ramana Communications that brought the glory of "Kamaraj" to the Tamil screen is now working on its dubbed version for an all-India reach.

Sadly, the original in Tamil didn't receive the attention it ought to have. Balakrishnan who had produced and directed the film believes that the response was less because most of us here already know about Kamaraj and the values he lived for. But up North he is known more as a powerful leader of the past. So his personal life on screen would be a revelation to viewers, says an insider.
