Kaalai Malar: Adityan Kitchen

(Jaya TV, weekdays, 08.30)

The very thought of food conjures up different images for different people. To the connoisseurs, it springs images of a lip-smacking array, whereas to the indifferent, it is a mere necessity to sustain oneself. Well, dishing out mouth-watering recipes with the health-factor, time factor and interest factor in mind is this show by gastronome Adityan.

It is an undeniable fact that fast food and take-away services are steadily and gradually replacing home cooked food. The programme, therefore, caters to those who enjoy home food, but do not have the time to slave over the stove. Adityan has worked on a range of recipes from an assortment of cuisines that can be made in a jiffy. And that's not all, the gourmet also customises a diet to suit people from various walks of life. For instance a sports person's intake will vary from that of a child's, an expectant mother's or that of an executive. And as every episode emphasises, a balanced diet is what good eating is all about. Bon appetite!
