NIIGATA (Japan): Raucous protests greeted the arrival in Japan on Monday of a North Korean ferry that has been linked to Pyongyang's missile programme and has stirred up emotions about Japanese citizens abducted by Pyongyang. The Mangyongbong-92, the only direct passenger link between Japan and North Korea, arrived in the port of Niigata for the first time in seven months and just two days before the start of talks in China over North Korea's nuclear weapons programme. ``Give us back the abducted children and families!'' chanted more than 100 protesters, including family members of people who were snatched decades ago to train spies. ``Go home! Go home!'' others shouted. Many Japanese oppose the ship's visits because of allegations the vessel has been used for smuggling missile parts.
