PAC refuses to probe

NEW DELHI AUG. 6. The simmering differences between Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the Defence Ministry today burst into open with the PAC, in a rare step, refusing to probe the alleged irregularities in the Kargil arms purchases due to ``persistent denial'' by the Ministry to provide it with the Central Vigilance Commission's findings on these deals. — PTI
