Legislators' meet on land takeover by BDA

By Our Special Correspondent

BANGALORE July 22. The Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, has said that he will soon convene a meeting of legislators from Bangalore to discuss the problems and difficulties that arise while the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) acquires lands and forms layouts. Mr. Krishna gave this assurance during Question Hour while replying to a matter raised by the leader of AIPJD group, B. Somashekar.

Green Belt: Mr. Krishna said that there was a need to have a second look at the Green Belt demarcated around Bangalore.

He said the Green Belt was fixed in the early 1980s, and at that time, no one envisaged that the City would grow rapidly.
