Beckham in kidnap alert

London July 20. Soccer player David Beckham is the target of a new security alert — eight months after his wife and children were at the centre of a kidnap drama.

The England player's new club, Real Madrid, has hired an expert Julio Cendal, from a Spanish Government security force to protect the Beckhams after a team-mate revealed his own snatch horror, News of the World, tabloid, reported today. According to the report, Cendal has already vetoed the Beckhams' plan to buy a dream house in Madrid. He said it was too easy for kidnappers to target. — PTI
