Slum-wise clearance of garbage soon

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD July 15. The MCH has decided to launch a drive for slum-wise clearance of garbage. Complaints of non-clearance of the refuse would be handled on emergency basis, said the MCH commissioner, Chitra Ramachandran.

She told presspersons on Tuesday that a team of officers were identified for the purpose. Fogging operations would also be taken up on a war-footing. In the recently concluded Janmabhoomi programme, the corporation had held 352 medical camps and treated 1.15 lakh persons. So far, no case of mystery fever was reported in the city and this showed that the corporation was doing its job. "There is no need to panic. The level of awareness among the people is high,'' Ms. Ramachandran said.
