Baby girl killed in road accident

BANGALORE JULY 15. A baby girl was killed and her mother injured when a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus hit them in Madivala Police Station limits on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the bus hit Vinutha (28), who was carrying her 15-month-old daughter, Manasa, while she was crossing M.H. Mari Gowda Road in Adugodi.

Vinutha and Manasa were rushed to St. John's Hospital where the baby died of injuries.

Vinutha who has suffered severe injuries is said to be out of danger.

She is the wife of Lokesh, a milk vendor.

The Madivala Police have arrested the bus driver, Imran, and seized the vehicle.
