Rail tracks blown up

Patna July 15. Atleast three trains derailed in Bihar due to largescale damage to railway tracks and uprooting of signals and points by activists of the banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) as part of their Tirhut-Mithilanchal bandh today, railway and police sources said.

The MCC activists blew off about 90 metres of track and broke about one metre railway line in between Bhairoganj-Kharpokhra section under the Samastipur division of East Central Railways, leading to derailment of three coaches of 519 Muzzafarpur-Gorakhpur passenger late last night, an official told PTI. There was, however, no report of any casualty.
