Even basic information such as nature of complaint, exact quantum of drugs and cash seized, network of the accused and source of narcotics is not clear. "This is a high level operation and we have no idea of what is happening. Custodial interrogation of the women alone will reveal their modus operandi," an official in the Intelligence Wing said. Interestingly, no follow-up action appears to have been initiated. "The women, while expressing shock over the recovery of drugs and cash from a room (of their rented premises in Madurai and Chennai), named a bigwig who used to frequent there. A thorough interrogation will throw more light on those backing their activities," one of the officials involved in the operation said. Meanwhile, the luxury car in which the police claimed to have seized Rs. 10 lakhs and 5 kg of processed ganja, was produced in a Madurai court today.
