`Advani shielding Badal'

Chandigarh July 6. Congress MLAs of Punjab charged the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, with trying to scuttle the vigilance probe into the disproportionate assets case filed against the former Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, and said he was ``shielding'' Mr. Badal and his ``corrupt colleagues''.

In a statement issued here today, six Congress legislators — the Deputy Ministers, Hans Raj Josar and Tript Rajinder Singh Bajawa, the Parliamentary Secretary, Mohinder Rinwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Swinder Singh Kathunangal and Ravinder Singh Sandhu — charged Mr. Advani with negating his own stance against corruption in high places. — PTI
