Setting the dance floor afire

LONDON: Author Salman Rushdie drew the crowd's attention as he scintillated the dance floor with his beautiful partner Padma Lakshmi. The 56-year-old author was attending a fundraising event here at the Serpentine Gallery with the actress. He began the relaxed evening by mingling with other members of the polite London society. But when the inimitable chords of Sophie Ellis Bextor's `Murder on the dance floor' came booming out of the sound system, his 32-year-old girlfriend led him out for a serious bop. The couple's dance floor duet quashed rumours about their break-up. — ANI
