Ramadi (Iraq) July 5. A powerful explosion here today killed at least seven Iraqi police recruits and injured 54 others, witnesses and hospital officials said. The blast in Ramadi, 95 km west of Baghdad, occurred when the recruits were marching out of a school towards a government building after attending a U.S.-led training course, according to Mahmoud Hamad, a survivor at the Ramadi General Hospital.
