Priest gunned down in Pak.

Islamabad July 5. A Roman Catholic priest, George Ibrahim, was shot dead in eastern Pakistan early today, police said. No one has claimed responsibility for the killing, which took place in Ranala Kot, about 300 km of Islamabad.

The priest had received death threats, according to Shahbaz Bhatti, head of the All-Pakistan Minorities Alliance. The threats appeared linked to a school that had been returned to the Roman Catholic church by the province.
