Pak. trade team arrives today

NEW DELHI JULY 3. In the midst of a political thaw, a trade delegation from Pakistan will reach India via the Wagah border tomorrow to discuss bilateral trade issues with the Indian businessmen.

Invited by the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the delegation led by Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, president, India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, would meet Indian businessmen at a meet on July 7-8 here.

High on their agenda are the bilateral trade issues, including unofficial trade and infrastructure and reasons for low volumes of trade. All these would figure in the discussions during the meet which would be addressed by the External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha.

According to the FICCI, the meet is expected to come up with recommendations to the Governments to create a conducive atmosphere to promote trade.
