Accepts peace plan

JERUSALEM May 24. The Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, has accepted a U.S.-backed peace plan, but faces stiff opposition from the hard-line Ministers in his Cabinet, which could vote on the ``road map'' to Palestinian statehood as early as Sunday.
