Nasdaq president resigns, to join Citigroup

NEW YORK: Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. on Thursday said Richard Ketchum, its President and Deputy Chairman, has resigned and will become general counsel of Citigroup Inc.'s Global Corporate & Investment Bank. The move comes three weeks after Nasdaq Chairman, Hardwick Simmons, announced his retirement after a difficult two-year tenure at the exchange, marked by increased competition, declining market share and a drop in its number of listed companies.
