Grande, 28, was making her fourth appearance in a WTA final and secured her third title, but her first since 2001. Serra Zanetti, the younger sister of the WTA tour's Adriana Serra Zanetti, played in a WTA final for the first time. Grande raced ahead in the match, played on red clay, comfortably clinching the first set 6-2. In the second, Serra Zanetti fought back, breaking Grande's serve to take the set. But Grande bounced back, breaking Serra Zanetti's serve three times in the final set. Grande took the set and takes home a check for $16,000 in the process. AP
