Book on malaria

NEW DELHI MARCH 29. A book titled "Strategies for Control of Kala-azar and Malaria'' was released by the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K.Advani, here on Friday. The book is based on a seminar sponsored by the World Health Organisation and organised by Balaji Utthan Santhan in Patna in December 2001. The Chairperson of the Santhan is the Union Minister of Small Scale Industries, C.P.Thakur. Kala-azar and malaria are the diseases that occur in developing countries. They do not attract the attention of multinationals because investments in medicine for these diseases are not profitable.
