AIFACS to hold special exhibition

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI MARCH 29. To celebrate 75 years of colour on canvas, the All-India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) is holding a special exhibition here in the Capital. Inaugurated today by the Rajya Sabha member, Karan Singh, this "national exhibition'' brings together award-winning paintings from all over the country.

Established in 1928 to propagate art and culture in India and abroad, AIFACS has been actively involved in trying to uplift the condition of artists across the country. During this period, AIFACS has given artists a chance to explore distant horizons and forge new bonds with artists from other countries.

The salient feature of the current exhibition is that all the awarded exhibits from the 24 participating States are part of this unique collection. Some of the works are from States which have won National Awards too.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the AIFACS gallery on Rafi Marg up to April 13.
