World Cup
Australian cricketers have once again come forward to support bushfire victims. The Australian one-day international team has helped raise nearly Australian $20,000 to assist the victims of this summer's worst bushfires in the national capital, Canberra. The 10 cricket bats donated by the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) to be auctioned online raised Australian $19,680. Each bat was signed by Australia's 15-man 2003 World Cup squad. All proceeds from the online auction will be donated to the Canberra Bushfire Recovery Appeal to assist the communities affected by the bushfire disaster.
