Mini-conference hall opened at corporation office

Rajahmundry Oct. 19. Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary, MLA, on Saturday inaugurated a mini-conference hall in the Corporation office and urged the officials to ensure speedy service to the public.

The hall, forming the second storey over the main council meeting hall, would accommodate chambers of the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, the Chairman, Standing Committee and floor leaders of the TDP and the Congress. The Mayor, M.S. Chakravarthy, and the Commissioner, T.S.R. Anjaneyulu, were present.

Later the Mayor laid the foundation stone for a shopping complex in Innespeta and for a cement road and drains near Kotipalli bus stand. Participating in the clean and green programme at T. Nagar, Mr. Choudary stressed the importance of protecting planted saplings. Then only the purpose would be served. Greenery would make the city beautiful, he said. Mr. Chakravarthy said that avenue plantations was done in vacant lands of Corporation. Also plantation programme was taken up in a big way in schools and other important areas.

The Deputy Mayor, Grandhi Lalitha, the Standing Committee Chairman, M. Venkatanarayana Choudary, corporators, Kollepalli Seshayya and Varre Srinivas, and others participated.
