Family suicide

Sir, — This is with reference to the news analysis "Political action needed to end family suicide" by K.P.M. Basheer (Sept 12.) The toll due to "family suicide" is increasing by the year.

Each and every time these incidents occur only in our literate State of Kerala, and it invariably turns out to be a subject of gossip. And as days pass by, people slowly forget the tragedy. No politician, social worker, NGO takes initiatives against this grave issue.
