RSS to forge new front for J&K polls

New Delhi July 10. In a move that can affect the prospects of the BJP in the coming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to forge a new political front, which will contest the polls on the plank of trifurcation of the State.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Front, an RSS organisation, is trying to put together such a front with the help of parties supporting the demand, with statehood for Jammu region and the Union Territory status for Ladakh. ``Contacts have already been made with the Akali Dal and the Panthers Party," the RSS spokesman, M. G. Vaidya, said.— UNI
