The part of the receipts from the credit card will fund the `SuperStarSearch' initiative by Citibank.
The credit card is aimed at capturing the followers of the game, which the Country Manager of Visa International, Mr. Santanu Mukherjee described a great unifying force in the country.
"We are proud to bring India's greatest passion on to a credit card that would allow Indian cricket fans to contribute towards their favourite sport,'' said Mr. Atul Malik, Business Manager Cards, Citibank India.
Reebok and Timex are also involved in the card and SuperStarSearch projects.
The latter project will start in the 2002-03 season with fifteen Under-15 players being picked from the five zones on the basis of their performance in a recognised tournament.
This programme will be managed by Professional Management Group.
