Chartered cargo flights to Male on Thursdays

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM May 6. A chartered cargo flight using a private AN-12 aircraft will be operated between the Thiruvananthapuram international airport and Male every Thursday from May 9 to clear the backlog of cargo.

The cargo flight can ferry up to 18 tonnes. The flight operation is being taken up on the basis of the pressure from exporters, agents and Indian Airlines, according to a release from the S & J Travel & Cargo Services.

The operator has said that they are ready to operate additional cargo flights on Tuesday in the sector depending on the demand from the exporters and agents.
