Gujarat violence helping enemy: Fernandes

RAMGARH (Rajasthan) MARCH 25. Taking serious note of the ongoing violence in Gujarat, the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, today said it has forced the diversion of armed forces from the Indo-Pak. border, much to the comfort of the enemy.

Addressing troops deployed along the border during a visit, Mr. Fernandes said forces had to be withdrawn from the western sector and sent to Gujarat following large-scale violence there.
