12 CRPF jawans killed
RANCHI, SEPT. 23. At least 12 jawans of the Central Reserve
Police Force (CRPF) were killed and nine others injured in a
series of landmine explosions triggered by the MCC ultras in
Auriya jungle areas under Churchur police station of extremism-
racked Hazaribagh district this evening.
According to official sources here, the police had gone for a
raid in the area when mines were blasted by the extremists of the
Maoist Communist Centre (MCC), killing 12 CRPF jawans on the
spot. Nine others received serious injuries and have been
admitted to hospital.
