Celeste to continue in office
NEW DELHI, JAN. 27. The Bush administration has asked its
Ambassador in India, Mr. Richard Celeste, to continue in office
till alternative arrangements are made, indicating the importance
Washington attaches to further consolidation of its relations
with New Delhi. The U.S. Secretary of State, Gen. Colin Powell,
in a communication asked the Ambassador to ``stay until a
successor'' was appointed.
This was revealed by Mr. Celeste at a ``conference of awareness
and action'' organised by the Rotary Club of Noida Central.
