HAL downs Bagan

KOLKATA: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited SC (HAL SC) continued to amass away points as it downed Mohun Bagan 2-1, registering its second successive I-League football win here on Wednesday.

The Bangalore-based aeronautics outfit outplayed the home favourite in a rain-drenched second round match at the Salt Lake Stadium.

A goal in each session from Vijesh Kumar and J. Murali gave HAL the win, its second after the one against JCT.

The lone reply from the host came from seasoned Brazilian Jose Barreto. — Principal Correspondent
