Salgaocar prevails

Margao: Salgaocar Sports Club got the better of a fighting Chirag United 4-3 for its second straight win in the second round of the I-League football championship on Tuesday.

Salgaocar's goals came through Gilbert Oliveira (2), Ryuji Sueoka and Anthony Barbosa, while Josimar Da Silva Martins, Denson Devdas and Obagbemiro Junior Elijah netted for Chirag.

Salgaocar leads the table with six points from two matches while Chirag remains on three points. — PTI
