Kozhikode wins

THRISSUR: Lazim Ali and Sourav scored two each as Kozhikode blanked Thiruvananthapuram 4-0 to win the Kerala State under-14 inter-district football championship at the Sree Kerala Varma College Ground here on Wednesday evening.

Lazim struck in the 16th and 37th minutes while Sourav's goals came in the 24th and 33rd minutes.

Earlier, defending champion Malappuram defeated Pathanamthitta 7-0 to finish third.
