CHENNAI: Visitors to Anna Nagar Visveswaraya Tower Park were greeted with a unique kolu exhibition on recently.

Exnora International came up with the concept of ‘Live Kolu' in which the dolls are replaced by children. Each row of the ‘kolu' had children dressed as various deities, cartoon characters and national leaders, including Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

About 180 children aged between three and five from various schools participated in the event. They also spoke a few lines about the character that they represented. Some of them also spoke on the need to spread awareness about environmental conservation.

Participating in the function, Mayor M. Subramanian said such initiatives would help children understand the need to conserve environment.

Exnora International Founder M.B. Nirmal appealed to parents to join hands with the organisation to maintain their areas clean and green.
