Gokul, Reshma win titles
Chennai: S. Gokul and Reshma Ganapathy won the boys' and girls' titles respectively, in the Mylapore Club under-14 T.B. Balagopal memorial tennis tournament, held here between September 4 and 11.
Ojes Theyjo and Dinana Abi were presented with the most promising player awards. Apart from cash prizes, the winners and runners-up were also presented with bicycles.
Inclement weather forced the tournament to be held at different venues capable of providing synthetic surfaces, including Besant Nagar Tennis Club, Anna University and Krishnan Tennis Centre.
Badri Vijayaraghavan of the TVS group inaugurated the tournament.
Ramanathan Krishnan, former Davis Cupper, was the chief guest at the prize distribution.
