SRV lifts Choice Cup
KOCHI: SRV HSS, Ernakulam, blanked Vaduthala's Don Bosco SSS 3-0 and won the EDFA's Choice Cup inter-school football tournament at the Maharaja's Stadium.
Navajith gave SRV the lead in the 24th minute. Ten minutes later, an own goal from Don Bosco's Akshay Nandakumar increased the Ernakulam team's tally. Abul Hassan made it 3-0 in the 76th minute.
Jose Thomas, the Chairman of Choice Group, gave away the trophies and cash awards.
Special prizes were also given to SRV's Gautham Muralidharan (best goalkeeper), Don Bosco's Roshan Emmanuel (best player) and Malappuram Safa School's Mohammed Hasil (most promising player). — Special Correspondent
