‘Project Damini' launched

KARIMNAGAR: Inspired by the “Project Damini” to check crime against adolescent girls, a programme initiated by the Karimnagar district police in collaboration with the Rainbow, a voluntary organisation of woman doctors of Karimnagar town, the Duddilla Sripada Rao Charitable trust had launched the programme in the Centenary colony of Kamanpur mandal on Sunday.

Minister for Higher Education and NRI affairs D. Sridhar Babu, who founded the charitable trust in memory of his father and former Assembly Speaker D. Sripada Rao, had inaugurated the medical and health awareness camp for the benefit of adolescent girls of the mandal on Sunday.

Lauding the noble cause of the Rainbow voluntary organisation and the district police, the Minister said that the “Damini” programme was well-designed to educate the youth to follow the right path to excel in their chosen career.
